Kazuto IZUMI (Registered Patent Attorney in Japan, Reg. No. 9721)
Mr. Izumi was born in Kagoshima, Japan. He became interested in
electronics at a young age, and he graduated from Kagoshima Technical
High School Electrical Program.
Following graduation, Mr. Izumi worked in Mitsubishi Electric
Corporation, where he tested and inspected DC motors, and synchronous
generators, and other electrical power equipments for his five
years of employment.
From Mitsubishi Electric, Mr. Izumi entered Kagoshima University,
from which he received his Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering.
Following education, Mr. izumi worked in Nippon Telegraph & Telephone
Corporation (NTT) for twenty-one years. He spent the first ten years as
a research and development engineer for electrical switching systems and
satellite communications systems.
During the last eleven years, Mr. izumi drafted patent specifications,
responded office actions from the Japanese PTO and overseas patent
offices, and filed trademark and design applications.
While employed by NTT, Mr. Izumi passed the Japanese Patent Attorney
Examination. He has been a registered patent attorney in Japan
since 1988.
After resigning from NTT, Attorney Izumi briefly served as a pertner
of a certain patent firm.
In September 1990, Attorney Izumi established his own Patent Firm
"Izumi International Patent Co." He has bee responsible for domestic
applications and applications to/from abroad.
Since 1990, Attorney Izumi has drafted and prosecuted numerous
patent applications from Nortel Networks Limited (Canada) in connection
with telecommunication techniques.
From 1991 to 1995, he handled numerous patent applications from
AMPEX Corporation (USA) in connection with video systems and broadcasting
system.
Since 1991, Attorney Izumi has been handling nummerous patent
applications from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Japan) in connection
with telecommunications and electrical machinery.
From 1999 to 2004, Attorney Izumi has been handling numerous patent applications
from Sony Corporation (Japan) in connection with telecommunications, especially
semiconductor devices.
On March 23, 2000, Attorney Izumi relocated his firm to Ohmiya
City (since renamed Saitama City) and changed the firm's name
to SKY PATENT.
